Toyboyz LTD started originally in 2007 as a collaboration between a group of friends – the aim was to make music mainly for artists but additionally for video games. As years went by, and the original group of people who established Toyboyz went on to pursue their dreams using other means, the name Toyboyz kept on living. Toyboyz Records was registered and established as an independent company in 2012 by Richard Gardner, Kari Linna and Marko Saarinen. In comparison to the original idea, the main area of interest for Toyboyz Records was to compose and produce music for both video games as well as movies, whereas the record label activities were a sideline with only cultural and artistic ambitions, mainly due to complexity of the music business and the ongoing digitalization of the music revenues.

The major breakthrough of the Video Game Franchise happened in 2013, when music by Toyboyz was featured in Activision Studios’ blockbuster video game Nascar Racing. One year later in 2014, the first major movie placement followed, when Toyboyz composed music for Brett Leonard’s award-winning movie ”The Other Country – Starring Burlap to Cashmere” which featured America’s Next Top Model winner Nicole Fox among others. Since then, music composed by Toyboyz has been featured in a number of international movies and video games. Toyboyz Records also has published music from such notable artists as Porches, Pinegrove, Kinetik Control, Kaitlyn Smith, Auringon Lapset and Martta Hakala, among others.

With a steady yearly revenue ranging from 300 000 – 600 000€ since 2014, Toyboyz Records was voted on position #32 on the list of ”Top 50 Partnering Companies Of The Video Game Industry” by the leading industry video game programmers, compiled by Electronic Gaming Monthly in 2017.

We LOVE music. Whether it is video games, movies or standard artist music, we are into it! We are constantly looking for new talent for any of our franchises.
